madeleine – Bombay, September 2002

Reading you, I begin
To tie up in beautiful knots,
Then unravel.

Like the birth of spring
Slowly un-coming

Translucent beads of nature’s dew
Rolling against the silken flesh of blood oranges
And reds and hyperpinks.

Postscript: mad·e·leine [mad-l-in, mad-l-eyn; Fr. maduhlen]
something that triggers memories or nostalgia
